Despite his success as a professional basketball player—Ray Allen having won two NBA championships, been selected to the All-Star team ten times, and is considered one of the best three-point shooters in NBA history—he decided to return to school in 2008 and enroll at the University of Connecticut.

After many years of schooling, in 2023 he was awarded a Bachelor of General Studies degree. Ray Allen, when asked about his accomplishments, remarked that he learned that it’s never too late to study from his experience in a school where some elderly people are active.”When I was in college, I saw that a few of the resident assistants were well into their 30s, and I remember thinking, ‘Wow, they’re still in school. You may always pick up new skills,” Allen emphasized.
