Twin sisters Bao Nhia Julia Yang and Bao Kou Julie Yang proved that twins have a special and unique bond when they gave birth to their daughter on the same day and in the same hospital.
Two sisters who grew up together in Fresno, California, shared everything growing up together. So when the two revealed their pregnancy at the same time, no one could believe that they weren’t planning. Two inseparable sisters were excited to share the most special journey of their lives together. But close sisters never thought they would be born on the same day. Their due dates were actually two days apart, but they both went into labor a week early on November 4, Bao Kou welcomed their first daughter, Nadalie Xiong, less than an hour before Bao Nhia’s due. gave birth to her third child, Candra Thao, at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, California.
Bao Kou said, “We both didn’t expect this, to say the least. I found out that my sister was in labor in the next room shortly after giving birth to Xiong. She was definitely in shock, but she was happy for both of them. It is truly a miracle.” The 23-year-old sisters reunited a few hours after their respective deliveries, and Bao Kou says the reunion was “emotional.” Bao Kou said, “We just felt a lot of love and care for each other. We’ve been through a lot. We were definitely there for each other and we both reminded each other that no matter what, we were always going to have each other.” Bao Kou and Bao Nhia are delighted that their daughters share a special bond like them.
Laura Schleicher, a nurse who had delivered babies for nearly two decades at Fresno Community Regional Medical Center, delivered both girls. She admitted that she hadn’t seen anything like it, saying the twins had a “very unique moment.” The births come after a tragedy for the sisters, who previously suffered miscarriages within months of each other.
Bao Kou said, “My sister and I went through miscarriages together, and it definitely brought us closer. Being able to see her, being able to have her there, and being able to stay together after our miscarriages was a big thing for me.” Now, Bao Kou says that being a new mom isn’t easy, but she’s glad to have Bao Nhia by her side. As for her little ones, Ella Bao Kou says that she hopes her daughters grow up as close as they are. Bao Kou says about the babies: “They seem to get along well with each other. They sleep together with no problem. They cry at the same time. I think Julia and I will do everything we can to make sure our children know what a close bond she and I have. I hope you can share that too.”
