Review the 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 6

Hyundai Company has long ago taken out for road tests the pre-production prototype of a brand new electric car Ioniq 6.

By now there have been already appeared in the network renderings of the Korean model. But the latest photos may be as close as possible to the features of the production Ioniq 6.

These renders show that the new model is completely different from other products of the Korean brand.

It stands out sloping forms of the body with a low-sloping hood and original headlights, which are laid inside the C-shaped LED strip.

These design decisions also make the Ioniq 6 stand out against the recent electric cars, including the previously debuted electric crossover Ioniq 5.

However, the novelty is expected to borrow interior from this model. In particular, Ioniq 6 should get similar to electric crossover dual display.

The novelty is likely to be reserved for the latest technological developments, including the system of autonomous driving of the second level, as well as assistants, responsible for lane keeping and tracking «blind» zones.

The basis for the Ioniq 6 will be the architecture of E-GMP. In this regard, the novelty should get 215-horsepower electric motor.

According to rumors, Ioniq 6 will be released in twin-engine version, producing up to 308 hp and providing acceleration to 100 km/h in 5 seconds.

The Korean model will be offered with a battery capacity of 73 kWh, through which the car can travel about 483 kilometers without recharging.

Ioniq 6 is able to replace the current Hyundai Sonata in the future model lineup.

Production of this Korean novelty will not start until the end of 2022.

Renders of a large electric SUV IONIQ 7 have been presented on the web.

After market debut IONIQ 5 on the North American market in 2022, the brand will release two more battery-operated new items — the sedan IONIQ 6 and SUV IONIQ 7.

The exterior of the latter has been declassified on renders.

The big battery-powered SUV IONIQ 7 will reach the U.S. auto market only in 2024.

Independent designers from AutoExpress have shown what looks the upcoming SUV might get.

Back during the presentation of its new electric IONIQ sub-brand, Hyundai announced the IONIQ 6 battery sedan for 2022 and the big IONIQ 7 SUV for 2024.

According to South Korean media, Hyundai has confirmed the SUV’s debut as a 2024 model year car.

This means that the IONIQ 7 could get new SK Innovation batteries.

The new ONIQ 7 will get the latest safety technology and advanced systems such as Highway Driving Pilot.

This technology will be introduced on the Genesis G90 4th generation by the end of 2021 and will be able to guarantee a third level of autonomy.

It will also get all the advanced features of the IONIQ 5. These include Vehicle 2 Load, cameras instead of rearview mirrors, AR navigation, or even a solar roof to help boost its range performance.

In the renders, we see a large SUV with classic proportions and brutal shapes.

It has a wide grille, modern complex shaped pixel optics linked by a thin LED strip, smooth chisels on the sides and a spectacular «soaring» roof.
