Check out the Great Wall Tank 600, a brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser competitor.

The first image of the 7-seat Great Wall Tank 600 SUV has been leaked online. Up to now, the first official images of this Chinese SUV have just been released.

According to the Great Wall brand, the Tank 600 will break the gap between luxury SUVs and off-road vehicles. To do that, the Great Wall Tank 600 is designed quite pitifully and sturdy.

On the front end, the Great Wall Tank 600 is equipped with a large chrome hexagonal grille with thick horizontal spokes and full LED headlights. In addition, the air vent is located right on the grille and the chrome brace is located on the front bumper, extending to the LED daytime running lights. In the middle of the grille is a large tank logo of the Tank sub-brand of Great Wall.

On the side, the Great Wall Tank 600 does not have many ribs, but is designed quite flat but no less ‘muscular’. Meanwhile, the front and rear fenders of the car are quite prominent, accompanied by multi-spoke alloy wheels.

Behind, the Great Wall Tank 600 is equipped with a roof spoiler, a spare tire located on the trunk door and vertical taillights. Below the rear bumper, there is an additional underbody protection panel, similar to the front bumper.

The interior of the Great Wall Tank 600 has not been revealed yet. It is expected that this model will possess a spacious design thanks to its rather large dimensions, including a length of 5,070 mm, a width of 1,934 mm, a height of 1,905 mm and a wheelbase of 2,850 mm.

Underneath the bonnet is a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 petrol engine, producing a maximum capacity of 353 horsepower and maximum torque of 500 Nm. The engine is combined with a 9-speed automatic transmission and 4-wheel drive system.

It is expected that the Great Wall Tank 600 will be officially launched at the 2021 Chengdu Auto Show, opening on August 24. When available in the Chinese market, the Great Wall Tank 600 will be positioned between the two brothers of the same brand, the Tank 300 and the Tank 800, and compete with the Toyota Land Cruiser . Great Wall is expected to produce about 60,000 Tank 600s a year.
