The Vikings attempted to shop running back Dalvin Cook this offseason, as the star running back didn’t want to take a pay cut to stay in Minnesota. They had to cut him instead. The Vikings need to clear cap space as they intend to make Jefferson a rich wide receiver.
Jefferson was absent during the Vikings’ voluntary OTAs. The wide receiver showed up to mandatory practice and talked about his spring absence to the media Tuesday. According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, Jefferson intends to practice during training camp regardless of his contract negotiations with the Vikings.
