Starting today (8th), Anthony Davis from New Orleans officially began a two-day basketball event in Hong Kong as part of Nike’s “Make Your Mark” campaign. In the afternoon, he visited Choi Hung Estate to lead basketball training sessions and share his basketball insights with local high school students.
Anthony Davis arrived at the rooftop basketball court at Choi Hung Estate car park at 3:00 pm, participating in Nike Basketball training activities and meeting twenty-three local high school students for basketball training. Having played various positions from guard to center during his high school days, Anthony Davis developed versatile skills that he showcased today. With the assistance of Hong Kong Division One player Hui Long-er, Anthony Davis not only demonstrated low-post techniques for interior players but also shared shooting skills for mid-range and long-range shots. He provided direct guidance to each student based on their performance, helping them improve their skills.
While teaching basketball techniques, Anthony Davis also motivated the students to continuously strive towards their goals. He stated during the event, “Even if others don’t support you, doubt you, or if you encounter setbacks, you should persist in pursuing your dreams. As long as you keep training hard, one day you will gain recognition and truly make your mark.”
After concluding today’s activities, Anthony Davis will continue the “Make Your Mark” campaign in Hong Kong tomorrow (9th). At 3:45 pm, he will visit the Nike Store in Mong Kok alongside Hong Kong boxer Cao Xingru. Later, at 7:00 pm, he will proceed to Southorn Stadium in Wan Chai to participate in the ongoing selection event of “Make Your Mark” and assist in selecting the two best-performing players of the day.
